CoinKarma Frequently Asked Questions

About Product Features

  • Will too many users cause CoinKarma's alpha signals to become ineffective?

    • We will limit the number of members to maintain the effectiveness of the alpha signals and the quality of community interactions. In the first phase, the cap will be set between 1,000 to 2,000 members. Early members will benefit from a pricing advantage, and adjustments will be made later based on demand and pricing strategies.

  • Will CoinKarma's LIQ indicator offer API services?

    • It's currently under planning. To protect the alpha signals, access will be limited to a set number of users.

About Using the Indicators

  • What's the difference between LIQ and Overall LIQ?

    • LIQ is the liquidity indicator for individual coins. For example, if you're charting BTCUSDT, it reflects BTC's liquidity. Overall LIQ is a market-cap-weighted liquidity indicator for the entire market. No matter which trading pair you're viewing, it will display the same data. In short, LIQ focuses on individual markets, while Overall LIQ provides a view of the entire market.

  • How do I use the LIQ indicator in conjunction with position management for entering and exiting trades?

    • The LIQ indicator is more suitable for counter-trend trades in ranging markets. In a strong trending market, it may result in consecutive stop losses. You should adjust according to your own risk tolerance. For example, you could enter in batches: 10% of your position after the first green bar, another 10% after the fourth bar, or wait for the Accumulate LIQ (the sum of LIQ over the past 24 candlesticks) to reach a certain peak before entering.

  • Since LIQ is a range-bound indicator, what should I do in a trending market?

    • You’ll need a filtering mechanism based on your trading preferences. A simple method would be using the 200-day moving average (MA) as a reference. If the price is above the 200 MA, you can use LIQ to filter for the best buying points. Below the 200 MA, be more cautious with long positions. You can also observe the Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) to gauge the strength of a trend. Only when CVD continues to rise can the market potentially break through the sell pressure indicated by LIQ's red bars, and vice versa.

  • How should I apply the LIQ indicator for different coins?

    • Given the high correlation in the crypto market, it's recommended to analyze both individual coin LIQ and Overall LIQ together to filter out meaningful buy and sell points.

  • Some of my CoinKarma indicators are not displaying properly. How should I resolve this?

    • Try clearing your cache and cookies (hold Ctrl+Shift+R). If the problem persists, contact customer support.

About Grid and Quantitative Strategies

  • What is the selection logic behind the Grid Trading Signal?

    • Grid Trading Signal provides long or short signals when Overall LIQ hits certain thresholds. In addition to always having a BTC grid trade, it selects altcoins based on recent price performance—choosing stronger-performing coins for long trades and weaker-performing ones for short trades (ignoring individual coin LIQ).

  • Why did my Ultron copy trade fail to open a position?

    • Ultron tends to use smaller position sizes. The minimum position size for OKX is 0.001 BTC, so if your leverage-adjusted balance exceeds $12,000, the chance of failed orders decreases. If you're having trouble, try increasing your balance or leverage.
